Weekly News Round-up 2/16/11

Phantoms and Monsters posted pictures of another 'Montauk Monster.' If you haven't been following the story, several strange looking creatures have washed ashore in New York  over the last two years. The creatures look like a cross between a turtle and some sort of mammal but no one seems to have real answers. The new one looks a bit different, you can check it out here.

In Salisbury, North Carolina, hundreds of people mounted an organized search for big foot for a show that's going to air on Animal Planet. The Salisbury Post posted the article here.

Unexplainable.net has an article about some of the artifacts stolen in Egypt and their possible connection to extra terrestrials. What do you think?

  1. Maybe the new creatures that are washing ashore are kind of like the creature in Cloverfield...only smaller.

  2. I love this site. This is cool. I write YA urban fantasy and YA paranormal romance. I can get inspiration from stuff like this! I'm a follower.

  3. Michael, I haven't seen Cloverfield yet. I've heard it's good though. I really don't know what the creatures washing ashore are. No one seems to have a good answer.

Welcome Beth! I'm glad you like the sight. :) I have a YA paranormal romance WIP as well, looks like we have something in common. I hope you will stop by again soon!

  4. Read the wikipedia article on cloverfield before you watch the show Alyson. IT explains what the creature is because of some Japanese invention (nutrition drink if I remember correctly). None of that is in the show.

Also...I hope that they recover the Egyptian artifacts. Looters are so vile.

  5. I'd give Cloverfield a miss if I were you.

  6. Thanks Michael, I'll be sure to check the article out before I watch it.

Hmm Ryan, I'' probably try and find it on Netflix so I can just turn it off if I don't like it. Thanks for the heads up. :)
