Weekly News Round-up 8/15/12

An image of Jesus appeared on a tree stump in Belfast. I usually just ignore these things but this one is pretty cool looking. You can see it here.

More dead birds have fallen from the sky in New Jersey, however, these deaths are being blamed on a pesticide. Read about it here.

A couple caught what they believe is the ghost of a child on a security camera. I'm pretty convinced the image is an insect on the lens but you can decide for yourself. See it here.

  1. I don't buy the image of Jesus in the tree stump. I think somebody made that picture. It's a hoax, just like the statue of Mary bleeding tears. Besides, like Michael said, how do we know what Jesus looked like?

When Constantine was the emperor of Rome, he wanted to convert the Pagans to Christianity. Constantine knew they wouldn't desert their beliefs, so he intertwined their beliefs into Christianity to try to sway them into worshipping one god. Constantine created the image of Jesus with the long hair, after a Pagan god. Also, we have no proof that Jesus ever existed. However, there was a guy who was an a Essene, and I think that's who the early Christians were talking about. Oh, and the whole Jesus walking on water, being born of a virgin, blah, blah, blah, is stories about Pagan gods. The church stole those stories and created a simple human into the son of God with supernatural powers. . . Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now. :)
